We identify market opportunities to create new businesses, support visionary entrepreneurs, and create a fertile ground where promising ideas materialize into successful businesses. Our Roadmap
We select both internal and external projects aligned with our strategy, in priority areas for Grupo Catalana Occidente's business such as home, health, services, and integrated insurance. Then, we provide them with the boost they need through our areas of expertise:
- Venture building: We create, launch, and scale our own startups. We build the business from the initial steps, such as market research and opportunity detection, to product launch. Additionally, we are open to working closely with entrepreneurs to help them develop their ideas, validate their business models, and make them grow successfully.
- Venture capital: We fund early-stage startups to give them the opportunity to propel their idea and refine their business model. We also get involved in strategic decision-making to generate value for all stakeholders.
- Investment in VC funds: We also invest in other venture capital funds that align with our strategy. This way, we diversify our portfolio and leverage the experience of other fund managers.
At GCO Ventures, we are business architects. Whether building companies from scratch, investing in industry-leading companies, or supporting other entrepreneurs in their growth plans, our journey knows no boundaries.
Milestones Along the Way
We began our journey with a clearly defined map of the goals we want to achieve to reach our destination: the construction of an open innovation ecosystem based on collaboration. Do you know the steps we have already taken?
💡 We have identified around twenty business ideas.
📐 Three ideas have culminated in the testing, design, and construction of businesses:
- Adecua, our first venture, is already operational. Under the motto "adapt your home, not your life," a team of more than 500 professionals works to adapt the homes of older people to their needs and mobility and cognition levels.
- In early 2024, we expect the launch of our second venture. Stay tuned to our blog to learn more!
- We are already working on the design and testing of our third company, with the goal of launching it to the market in the third quarter of 2024.
